Fabien
Lutz-Barabé

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic all Festival or Exhibitions are currently on hold until further notice.

Fabien  was born last of 11 siblings in Laval QC July 2, 1963.

He an artist and cartoonist living in Tantallon Nova Scotia.  Fabien has been a freelance artist since 1993. After discovering he had Squamous Cell Carcinoma cancer in November of 2016, he decided to embrace his passion and create art full-time.

As a member of the Peggy's Cove Area Festival of the Arts for the last nine years, he has fostered some amazing relationships and projects. His art journey led him to the Rainbow Reflections project Body Image for Queer Men in December of 2018, an Anthology of Queer Creators, a collection of short comics by 40-plus creators, which was conceived and edited by Phillip Joy.

He created online cartoons in 2018, The Secret Life of a Naturist and the Spice of Life on various social media accounts. His own struggles with cancer along with depression and self-esteem have helped him using narrative medicine as a healing tool. Not only is Fabien an artist, he also poses for various Life Model Art Groups.

Last year he published two queer comics, "With This Ring" and "How it All Began". He was also commissioned to do the cover for Naturist Fiction author René Beauchemin, René Reinvented.

Most recently, his artwork can be found on the soon to be published Murder Mystery Anthology; "Murder in the Nudist Colony" from Retired Eagle Books featuring the best in Naturist Fiction Authors from all over the world. Currently available on Amazon as an eBook and paperback later in July.

When he is not making comics and fine art you can find him spending time with his amazingly supportive husband John.

Kicking off the festival he will have a solo exhibit at the Tantallon Library in July as well as two works at the Community Enterprise Centre in Tantallon..
